The
transformation of the former Kappa Delta Theta fraternity house
into Bowdoin's new admissions office is nearly complete, and it
is a remarkable addition to our campus. No longer will prospective
students and their families wander around Stowe and the Tower looking
for a small, unsightly admissions office after searching for a parking
spot for 15 minutes.

The architecture of the new admissions building

structure commonly known as the "Theta" chapter house is now being
renovated to serve its new purpose as the admissions office. Although
many similar fraternal houses purchased and renovated by the College
have undergone similar "updating," none saw the care and sensitivity
given to the Theta chapter house in this renovation.
